Classes are available with Senior Center Membership and are $5.00 ($7.00 for specialty class) per class if pre-paid by the month on the first of each month. Drop in rate of $7.00 ($10.00 for specialty class).  Call the Senior Center to register at 843.785.6444

  • Zumba Gold

    Wednesday, Friday 9:00-9:45am
    Fun energizing class with upbeat music. Music is choreographed routines to songs that will swivel your hips and put a smile on your face. Class is done standing with small dance type movements and lots of fun. 45-minute intermediate type class.

  • Balance & Stretch

    Friday 11am-12:00pm
    Boost your balance with this personalized stretch class (while being social and listening to classic pop music)! *Perfect for recreational sports — to improve your game and prevent injuries. 45 minute class.

  • Morning Exercises

    Monday, 9:00-9:45am
    Monday classes provide a mixture of cardio and strength training moves using small dumbbells or exercise tubing. Classes are fun and energizing. Movements are kept simple and instructions are easy to understand. This class will exercise your body and mind. Classes include warm up, work on proper body alignment, balance and cool down with stretching. You can choose to do the class standing or sitting. 45-minute intermediate type class.

  • Chair Yoga (Specialty Class)

    Mondays 11:00-11:45am
    Chair Yoga is a gentle class adapting yoga poses with a chair. The class starts seated with some stretches and breathing exercises then the chair will be used as a prop while practicing some standing poses like warrior I and II, lunges and balance poses like tree pose or airplane pose. This class cultivates awareness and deep relaxation through meditation, breath work, and gentle stretches all without the stress of getting up and down off the floor. 45-minute beginner type class.

  • Tai Chi Easy (Specialty Class)

    Wednesday 11:00-11:45am
    Tai Chi Easy™ is a fun, easy-to-do, therapeutic, moving meditation practice. It focuses on fundamental elements found in all tai chi forms, such as self-awareness, moving from the center, weight-shifting, rotation, flowing movement, quiet mind, and the interplay of the yin-yang oppositional forces. It can be done standing, sitting and walking. No previous experience is necessary. 45-minute beginner type class.
